Local animal shelter St. Joe Bay Humane Society (SJBHS) presents the fifth annual Bow Wow Bash and 5K run, 1 mile walk and pet parade, a celebration of animals in our lives.
The events, to be held on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9TH and SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23RD, 2010 in Port St. Joe, will consist of two separate events. The Bow Wow Bash Masquerade Party will be held in the Port St. Joe Centennial Building on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23RD from 6 p.m.–10 p.m. EST. Delicious food provided by Provisions, a cash bar, masquerade contest (costumes optional) and guests can boogie down to awesome music. A silent and live auction (credit cards accepted) will culminate with the drawing for the winner of $5,000 CASH or 1 of 5 $500 Prizes!
The 5K run and walk (with or without dogs) will be held at Constitution Park on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9TH starting with registration at 7 a.m. EST and the 5K race at 8 a.m. EST followed by the 1 mile walk and a pet parade and costume and owner/dog look alike contest. Many prizes across the board to the winners.
All proceeds from these two functions will be used to help the needy animals in Gulf County. Hundreds of animals are abandoned every year in our area and money raised at these events will help us comfortably house and care for these animals, while they are waiting for their forever homes.
Tickets for the nighttime event are $30 each or $300 for a reserved table for 10 which includes a free drink ticket per person.
A small fee of $15 ($20 on day of race) is required for the 5K run/walk. Pick up your run entry forms and tickets at the following locations:
